Greyhound Track Operators Association seeks nomination for Greyhound Adoption Person of The Year

GREYHOUND TRACK OPERATORS ASSOCIATION SEEKS NOMINATIONS FOR GREYHOUND ADOPTION PERSON OF THE YEARWest Palm Beach, Fla. (April 30, 2007)—The American Greyhound Track Operators Association (AGTOA) announced that it is seeking nominations for Greyhound Adoption Person of the Year. This award recognizes volunteers who have generously given of their time to assist in placing former racing greyhounds into homes as pets."There are many dedicated volunteers throughout the U.S. who contribute their time to assist in placing greyhounds that have completed their racing careers into homes," said Richard Winning, president of the AGTOA. "As a tribute to them all, each year we will honor one of these individuals."Anyone can nominate a volunteer who should receive this distinction. The recipient will be selected based on the individual’s dedication and contribution to greyhound adoption during that year.The Greyhound Adoption Person of the Year will be honored at the AGTOA’s annual meeting, March 2008 in Las Vegas.
